It is wonderful, truly marvelous, how serene the good Gotama’s presence is, how clear and radiant his complexion is.
Just as a yellow jujube fruit in autumn is clear and radiant, just as a palm tree fruit just separated from the stalk is clear and radiant, so too is the good Gotamas’s complexion.
Just a s trinket of red gold, wrought in a crucible by a clever goldsmith, deftly beaten and laid on a yellow cloth shines and glitters—so too the good Gotamas’s senses are calmed and his complexion is clear and radiant.
