The Buddha’s Words of Wisdom
A god said to the Lord: “These sic things do not lead to one’s decline. What six? Reverence for the Teacher, the Dhamma, the Sangha, for the training, for earnestness and for love.”
Later, the Lord repeated to the monks what the god had said, and added:
Deep reverence for the Teacher,
The Dhamma and the Sangha.
With earnestness and love,
A monk like this will not fail;
He is near Nirvãna.
